SYMBOLISM
Shield.  The triangular pile is emblematic of a radio tower reaching skyward and its blue color denotes the open waters.  The lightning flashes portray signals and communication to and from the radio tower.  The black field is representative of space to signify both space-based communications and the global scope of the organizations capabilities.

Crest.  The lightning flashes are adapted from the former Radioman rate to pay tribute to the legacy radio communications skills and history of the organization.  The globe conveys worldwide reach as well as the geographically dispersed locations and personnel.
In heraldry, the wreath (or torse) is a critical element of a coat of arms.  It was the twisted band composed of two strips of gold or silver lace and silk by which the crest was joined to the knights helmet.  The torse is always composed of six twists of material displayed
alternately.  The first twist is the primary metal color (gold or silver) and the second twist
represents the primary color of arms in the shield.

Supporters.  Tridents are symbolic of authority and power.  Their gold color is indicative of excellence and expertise.

Motto.  The motto, SEMPER REBOATE, translated as ALWAYS ANSWER THE CALL, characterizes the dedication and professionalism of the organization in fulfilling the communication needs of military and civilians around the world.  It pays tribute to the legacy CAMSLANT motto of NO CALL UNANSWERED.  The blue and green colors of the scroll imply dominion over both land and sea.

Seal.  The coat of arms as blazoned in full color on a circular white background, edged gold, enclosed by a dark blue border edged on the outside with a gold rope, inscribed COMMUNICATIONS COMMAND above and below, U.S. COAST GUARD between two small discs, all white.
